Joel
A. Porter, MD, FACS, FASCRS received his
medical education at The Ohio State University
College of Medicine in 1981. He completed a
residency in General Surgery at Akron City
Hospital and a fellowship in Colon & Rectal
Surgery at the University of Medicine &
Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Porter is certified by the American Board of
Surgery and the American Board of Colon
& Rectal Surgery. Dr. Porter is currently a
Clinical Professor of Surgery at Summa Health
Systerms and Northeastern Ohio Universities
College of Medicine (NEOUCOM). Dr. Porter is a member of Summa Physicians Inc (SPI). |

Frederick
A. Slezak, MD, FACS, FASCRS attended
medical school at The Ohio State University
College of Medicine receiving his degree in 1978.
He completed his residency in General Surgery at
Akron City Hospital. Dr. Slezak also completed a
fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery at Carle
Foundaton Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Dr.
Slezak is certified by both the American
Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon
& Rectal Surgery. He is also a Clinical Professor
