Joel A. Porter, MD (jap@associatedsurgical.com) received his medical education at Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed a residency in General Surgery at Akron City Hospital and a fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Porter is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery. Dr. Porter is currently a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Summa Health Systerms and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) as well as Department of Surgery Vice Chairman at Summa.
  

Frederick A. Slezak, MD (fas@associatedsurgical.com) attended medical school at Ohio State University receiving his degree in 1978. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Akron City Hospital. Dr. Slezak also completed a residency in Colon & Rectal Surgery at Carle Foundaton Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Dr. Slezak is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery. He is also a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Summa Health Systerms and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM).
